I am a London & Leeds based photographer, currently studying the second year of my photography degree, at the London College of Communication. Prior to moving to London I worked as head photographer for several studios, including Mill Photographic and studied a Photographic National Diploma at Batley School of Art and Design, working at distinction level. I prefer to work within the conceptual fashion and portraiture genres and since studying at LCC I have developed a strong focus on representing and documenting identity, blurring the boundaries created in conventional fashion imagery. Confident in either a studio or location setting, I question how society works, influences and excludes and how the media in turn affects society, particularly through appearance. Since moving to London, I have worked for studios such as Park Royal and Holborn Studios and assisted the likes of Nick Knight and Klaus Thymann. I continue to freelance as a photographer and assistant around my degree. Alongside this I incorporate photographic and writing skills together, as the London based fashion & events reporter for Cool Hunt, an international press agency based in LA.
